About the Book
I'm not a doctor, therapist or clinical professional. Starting Over Again was written from lived experience. Over the years, I had to find ways of dealing with the experiences, thoughts and obstacles that were controlling my life. One of the tools that grew from that process was the Sticky Notes Exercise, a way of getting what was occupying my mind out where I could see it, organize it and begin dealing with it. That eventually led to the idea behind System Restore Yourself.
Just as we can restore a computer when things aren't working properly, I began asking whether we could look at our own lives in a similar way: identify what's taking up space, understand where it came from, decide what still belongs, and begin moving forward.
