About the Book

Created in love, during loss, a book meant to slow the world down. This book was created during a quiet, painful season while my mother was living with dementia and slowly slipping away.
As words became harder for her to hold onto, I found comfort in stillness. In her garden. In flowers she had grown with care over many years. In moments where time seemed to slow just enough to breathe.
Blending photographs, many taken from her own garden with reflective poems, this book became a way to cope with change, grief, and the heartbreak of watching someone you love fade before they are truly gone.
These pages are not meant to be rushed. They are an invitation to pause. To soften the mind. To rest in beauty, simplicity, and presence, even when life feels overwhelming.
Created as a refuge from chaos, this book offers calm, reflection, and quiet companionship for anyone navigating loss, caregiving, grief, or the need to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters.
